Lost & Found

Over the last number of years, while out on walks with camera in hand, every so often I have noticed objects abandoned with little or no context. I’ve named this project simply “Lost & Found” as other people have lost something, while I have found it. There definitely seems to be a pattern. Lots of single items: a single shoe or glove for example, but in some cases, trying to piece together the events leading up to the subjects final resting place is a little harder to speculate. A television in a parking lot…a tub of ice cream…a full CD wallet.

Whatever the case, I thought these lost items told a story, even if I wasn’t sure exactly what that story was and started documenting what I’ve found. Now that I am starting to compile years worth of these little nuggets of human evidence, I think it makes a neat collage of “what happened here?!”
